DESCRIPTION:\nPlease join us for the first meeting for 2014 as we welcome Jacob Stein, partner with Klueger and Stein, Los Angeles.  He will be speaking on "ASSET PROTECTION"   \n \nPlease make your main course menu selection below.  Served dinner will include Appetizers served prior to speaker with dinner following  which includes Strawberry and Spinach salad to start and Key Lime Cheesecake for dessert.      \n \nMr. Stein is a published author and an expert on sophisticated domestic and international tax planning, estate planning, and asset protection.  He has written books and numerous scholarly articles on international taxation, sophisticated trust and estate planning and asset protection planning.  He is an adjunct professor of taxation at the CSU, Northridge Graduate Tax Program, and has been an instructor with the California CPA Education Foundation, Thomson Reuters, Rossdale Group, National Business Institute, Lorman Education Services for many years. He is also a frequent guest speaker at various Bar, Estate Planning Council and CPA group meetings, having taught over 500 seminars over the course of his career. He is consistently rated as outstanding, and his presentations are always lively, engaging and educational.                                                                                                                                                                         Jacob received his law degree from the University of Southern California, and his Master’s of Law in Taxation from Georgetown University.  Mr. Stein has been accredited by the State Bar of California as a Certified Tax Law Specialist, is AV-rated (highest possible rating) by Martindale-Hubbell and has been named “A Super Lawyer” by the Los Angeles Magazine.\n Over the course of his career Mr. Stein has represented over a thousand clients, including: officers and directors of Fortune 500 companies; Forbes 400 families; celebrities; Internet entrepreneurs; high-profile real estate developers, builders and investors; physicians; wealthy foreigners; small business owners; attorneys, accountants and financial advisors; and many other individuals facing financial adversity or seeking privacy for their holdings.\n Mr. Stein is an author of numerous tax and asset protection books, articles and technical manuals.  He is the author of A Lawyer’s Guide to Asset Protection Planning in California, published in September of 2011, the only legal treatise on asset protection specific to California. The companion book for non-lawyers, Asset Protection for California Residents, was published in October 2011.  His Asset Protection Planning and Advanced Tax Planning Techniques manuals have been used by the California CPA Education Foundation for the past 10 years\n Mr. Stein is a frequent lecturer to various attorney, CPA and other professional groups, teaching over 50 seminars per year.  His presentation topics range from asset protection to choice of entity planning, and offshore tax planning to advanced real estate exit strategies.  Jacob is an instructor with the California CPA Education Foundation, National Business Institute, Thomson Reuters, the Rossdale Group and Lorman Education Services where he teaches courses on advanced tax planning, asset protection and trust law. \n
